Dishonest Spring!

Posted by Pastor Ron Thursday, April 07, 2011 7:00:00 AM
Dishonest Spring! Back in December when I was looking forward to Spring, I had a feeling La NiƱa might pull a trick on us. The poor robins didn't know what to do yesterday morning with all the worms tucked snuggly in their beds rather than risk the snowy commute. read more

Always Eating ~ Never Full

Posted by Pastor Ron Wednesday, April 06, 2011 7:00:00 AM
Always Eating ~ Never Full Below the surface in some of our cold water habitats It seems as though every inch is covered with living creatures. And they are all busy about the same thing: eating. And why not? The stream of food is unending. They just reach out and sweep in another mouthful. Of course, if ... read more

UP side down

Posted by Pastor Ron Tuesday, April 05, 2011 7:00:00 AM
UP side down I often go head down when I'm underwater to get a closer look at things. UP side down helps me get a fresh perspective ~ to view my surroundings from a different angle. I try to do that above water too. I don't stand on my head, I just try to get a new perspective by looking at things... read more

InnerSpace Alien

InnerSpace Alien This creepy looking creature is a cold water denizen ~ the Basket Star. Like most (but not all) 'starfish' the Basket Star moves very slowly. And while it looks bizarre photographed this close and at this angle it really is a very beautiful creature. Basket Stars inhabit high current... read more

Tropical diving isn't cool.

Tropical diving isn't cool. Tropical water is warm and inviting... and while I prefer cold water diving I must admit tropical diving has its good points.
